Holly Williamson Batten is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. She represents clients in all manners of civil disputes including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, will caveats, employment issues, personal injury negotiations, and commercial business disputes.
Ms. Batten is not new to the litigation field. Before entering law school, Ms. Batten worked as a paralegal at a general practice firm in Sanford, NC that handled family law and personal injury cases. In law school, she worked for North Carolina Central University School of Law’s Legal Clinic, an organization that serves indigent clients in need of legal services. She gained additional legal experience in law school while serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Adrienne Fox’s first year civil procedure class. She also clerked in a real estate firm during the summer of 2003. In 2004, while a summer associate with Smith Debnam, she was assigned several litigation projects involving family law, personal injury, and commercial disputes.
